These older videos of the OG RE4 are nostalgia to watch it reminds the first time I played it on the GameCube back in 2006/2007 when I was 13 in 7th grade never knew about these glitches back in the day on the GameCube but i have the PS4 version on my PS5 not sure if it’s possible on the newer versions of the game.

Just found this for the first time in 2024. I played MGS for the first time when it came out in 1999. My mind is blown. Also just found out about the torture room skip. Awesome find!
Same story here. My son is into the games now. I challenged him to a speed run so I tried the glitch for the first time and he got so mad he walked over and turned off the system. LOL so great this game keeps on going… cheers man!

For those who can be interested. In my experience (PS1 original game played in PS3). I came downstairs until the broken ones (when Snake says "Damn it!") and THERE I made the Stinger glitch. First I tried to do it just before the Otacon's cutscene like in the video but it didn't worked. The cutscene didn't appear but the boxes were there in 2 2 position, not allowing me to go upstairs.
Anyone know what to do when you can’t pick up the stinger after doing this trick ?

can someone explain step by step what was done and which buttons were pressed?
So the way I did it was: 1. Equip an item with L2 (I equipped rations) 2. Equip grenades 3. Throw a grenade 4. Crouch all the way down and lay near the grenade 5. Before the grenade explodes, switch to the chaff grenades 6. Right after the grenade explodes, unequip your item with L1 and simultaneously hold down triangle to go to first person mode. While holding down triangle, swing the control stick to look around until you automatically stand up (I like go in circles with the control stick) 7. Let go of triangle 8. Switch to your stinger missile. If you did this correctly, you will still be holding the chaff grenade. 9. Hold down the square button to cook the chaff grenade until it explodes in your hand. You automatically switch to your stinger. Unequip it, and it will disappear. It sounds complicated, but if you follow my advice exactly, you will get it after a few tries.
How can I pick up stinger ammo for the Hind fight? I did the torture room glitch and now I have 0 ammo and can't pick up new ammo, says it's full.
EDIT 2: "Once Wolf is dead you'll want to go back into the tower, up the elevator and grab the stinger missile since you still need it to fight Rex. And now, with Wolf dead, the game will allow you to use the stinger missile. You can now progress through the game as normal with no further concerns." Found the answer
